Years ago I played TOCA, touring car championsip, complete with a Microsoft Sidewinder force-feedback wheel.
That was one excellent game. This isn’t.
It’s bland, it’s dull, there’s no sensation of speed, car handling or anything to maintain your attention. It’s like watching someone else play, but harder work.
In fairness I’m somewhat addicted to Richard Burns Rally, which is worlds apart from this. With that you feel immersed in a 3D world, at high speed. With this… not so much.
It has some good points, good sound, wide choice of cars – but why bother, when it’s boring?
3 stars, for effort. They missed the most important bit though, making it feel like you’re driving a car… Rating: 3 / 5
won’t even start, crashes and creates a dump file –
If you have a computer with integrated graphics (I have a new Dell) this game will not work.
Still gave four stars just ’cause sounds like it’s fun when/if it works!!!
my fault for not knowing specs/limitations of my computer, and checking minimum requirements for the game (just figured new computer, older game, it’s gotta work)
oh well, will probably hold on to it, for that day when I can justify the cost of a separate graphics card Rating: 4 / 5
